Hi Dave,

You might as well start here:

At this late date, I'd try to go with an external supply with a 24-volt 
AC source for the heaters, and keep actual mods to the receiver to a 
minimum. Of course, you'll need to replace all the 0,1uf "Micamolds." 
They are actually paper caps.
