        Have a look and see if you can determine when Scratchi first 
appeared.  It is not in an April 1938 edition but is by January 1940.  
Between these two dates the offices had moved from Los Angeles to Santa 
Barbara, maybe not significant.  I had forgotten about _Pacific Radio 
News_ which probably accounts for the 1917 date on the masthead. Its a 
curious co-incidence that 1917 is the date given for George Floyd's 
birth. It would be interesting to find out more about him.
