[Boatanchors] Theory Question

Now, that makes sense.  Been in the game since the 50’s, though, and don’t remember seeing that kind of a paper/mica combination used anywhere else.
Don’t remember seeing the combo in regens back in the “day” either which might explain why the circuits found in "Popular Mechanics" and "Radio News" didn’t 
always work as advertised.   :^(
