Good morning Keith,
The .01uf is adequate for 80, 40, meters and the .001 for 20, 15, and 10
Metres.
The .01 cap becomes an inductor at around 18Mc depending on lead length.
With 1/2 inch leads about 15Mc.
The .001 well above 10 Metres
Kindest regards Jim K9AXN

Subject: [Boatanchors] Theory Question
Have a question I know someone will know the answer to.
Very often in tube bypass capacitors, both b+ and cathode, two caps are
used, a
lower value and a higher value, ie .01 and a .001.
What is the purpose of this, would not the .01 do the job alone? Never seen
this addressed.
