Both RAX and RAX-1 included all three receivers. The only differences I
know of between the two are the contract numbers. Up until the 1950's, it was
common Navy practice to increment the Set nomenclature number for each new
order (contract). In some cases (maybe 20%) the suffix number indicated a
power supply change, like AC or DC, or 14VDC or 28VDC. But as far as I've
been able to determine (I only have the RAX-1 manual), that wasn't the case
with RAX and RAX-1. The only indication whether or not there was some change
was to look at the 5-digit Navy Type Number.
