[Boatanchors] Question about plexiglass

Doesn’t acetone attack the typical, disposable plastic syringe? I would think that the plunger would get stuck to the barrel.

I used to have an old glass syringe that I used to inject contact cleaner into tight spots. Unfortunately, the syringe rolled off the bench and broke.

After that, I tried to use a disposable, plastic one. The contact cleaner gummed it up, almost instantaneously. Permanently ruined.

I am still trying to find another glass syringe.

“If you carefully place two pieces of plexi-glass together dry and then
inject acetone into the small gap with a hypodermic you will get a far
better looking result. Ask a diabetic friend for one of his/her used
disposable syringes.
