[Boatanchors] Odd behavior by NRD-515

Good evening Howard,
It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, the 515 has a 5db pad that
comes into play at those frequencies. Additionally, are you peaking the MW
BCB preselector? The BFO/BC Tune nob, if I remember, is what you'll have
to ride as you move across the AMBC band. When you tune from 599Khz to
600Khz, the BC preselector is switched in. Then when you tune from 1599Khz
to 1600Khz, the BC preselector is switched out. If you're not adjusting it
as you tune across the AMBC band, you'll note very poor performance like
your mentioning.
