I have a Hewlett Packard 331A distortion analyzer for sale (I don’t need two).

It works well and is in real good condition, with factory manual.

This, with a low distortion audio oscillator, will enable you to do  audio proofs on your boatanchor transmitters.

Getting maximum life out of your PA and modulator tubes (if they have directly heated cathodes), means lowering the filament voltage until audio distortion climbs.

Run the filament voltage a couple of tenths of a volt above the increased distortion point throughout the life of the tubes.

This method enabled me to get a lot more life out of expensive AM transmitter tubes.
