Windows is a virus. Use linux (or if you have too much money, Mac).

Surf without javascript, flash or cookies, with tracking blockers. Use 
text formatted email without a preview pane. Keep OS and programs up to 
date. Don't click on ANYTHING in email and very little on the web. Get 
rid of Adobe products. Use a chatty firewall and pay attention to it.
