[Boatanchors] Boat anchors on ebay

One reason is that many folks don't have a clue about how to pack a
boatanchor, and the general neglect of the big two shipping companies in handling
heavy packages. I have personally driven many miles to pick up a
boatanchor because I didn't want it to arrive on my doorstep in pieces, as some
have. If you fight, you can eventually collect damages but once a really nice
piece is damaged, there is not much you can do.

The best way to ship is on the bus. It takes more effort on the part of
the seller and the buyer, but you are more likely to wind up with no damage
since there is much less handling involved, fewer conveyor belts for the box
to fall off of, and in many cases, you can watch the item being loaded.
Sometimes, a package will never leave the bus it is loaded onto until it
reaches it's destination.

Looking back many years, it is difficult to believe that heavy rigs were
shipped in minimal manufacturer's packing and made it just fine. Does that
tell you somthing?

Boatanchor prices are for the most part ridiculous, many are super dogs,
freight is high
