That's sad, or scary. I'd guess this person, being a successful dentist, might have absorbed a somewhat better than average education. If he could be sold that load of BS, what then are the odds of the average populace intelligently discussing & reaching informed consensus of complex issues (e.g., economics or global warming/cooling/weirding)? And no wonder politicians & demagogs are able to sway so much of the population.

Sorry if that comes across as overly political. I only mean to say the world is complex yet so many beneficiaries of free or low cost public education seem simpletons.
