NTS is still around. I am a bit amazed at that but last week heard
the 5th region net on 80 meters. It's a sad thing compared to the
1970s and earlier since I don't think they have much traffic now. The
glory days of W3CUL topping the BPL list every month are gone. No one
would be able to get the traffic volume Mae had.
I don't know where folks get the time for videos and facebook and all
that. If I could watch on-line videos I'd probably never even get
around to operating or any other ham activity. And facebook takes all
your information and sells it to advertisers. Maybe QRZ.com does the
same thing for all I know. But from what I have heard, once you get a
facebook account you can't get rid of it. I had one early on for
about 30 minutes. When it was new you could delete your account.
I always think internet social media is social media for non-hams but
I have to admit I use my qrz.com listing for station updates. I
change it about once a year to highlight a new piece of gear I have.
