[Boatanchors] AM linear question

Since the DX-40 runs controlled carrier AM, the stress, on the tubes in the 30L-1 is not that bad.  More than SSB but considerably less than with "normal" AM.  The fan, in the linear, generally can handle the heat generated when used with controlled carrier AM. Glen, K9STH Website: http://k9sth.net

150 watts carrier out? That is about 600 watts p.e.p. output on AM.

Not bad compared to a barefoot DX40 !!

However, I would still add a stout fan if there isn't already one in there!!
