[Boatanchors] Info Needed: Matric Model 50 Transmitter

Good Afternoon , 
I ran across this little rig on eBay and am wondering if anyone ever heard of it 
and/or has any info they could share. So far the only info I have found is this FS email 
by NJ2R, via Google: 
"FS is a rare and unique crystal controlled CW 15 watt transmitter made by
Matric of Franklin, PA. 
Details of the unit are as follows:
Model 50W/K built in 1974 and 75,$39.95 in kit form, $ 49.95 wired and
tested, Frequency range: 160 through 40 meters with plug in coils.
Built in power supply, Power out: 15 watts. It has a built-in side tone
generator and T/R switching."  It appeares to use toroid type plug in 
coils. Anyone know if it use tubes (p ossibly at least in the final?), 
hybrid, solid state?
