Howdy friends -
JP (K4OZY) and I (Nick K4NYW) will be set up at our usual fleamarket spaces
2508 & 2509 - look for the "Wanted- Navy Radio" and www.navy-radio.com
signs pasted onto a white van. JP is the TMC company historian (
www.tmchistory.org) so also look for a TMC logo.
We'll hit Fair Radio on Wednesday AM and spend Thursday-Friday in the flea
market. Sat AM we'll be wandering around looking at junque but will be
parked outside for a noontime getaway. If you have an HT we'll be
monitoring 147.42 mc
JP & I will be selling some books and interesting radio gear and parts - it
seems like we always end up buying high and selling low so come visit early
for the best selection. I'll be on the lookout for misc US Navy Radio & TTY
gear from the 1950's-60's.
Our objectives for this mission include
1) having a fun time,
2) learning something new about old radios
3) taking about radios with new and old friends
4) not worrying about how "it isn't like it used to be"
5) coming home with a truckload of radio junque that's completely different
from the one we take there.
Even a bad day at Fair Radio or the Dayton hamfest is a heckuva lot more
interesting than most.
