In the Tampa, FL area the phone company (VerGTEizon) delivers small
gasoline powered generators to every buildings and "pedestal boxes"
without permanent backup power that need it, after hurricanes.
(units that contain active electronics for such circuits as T1 and 4
wire circuits)
But they NEVER scheduled anyone to deliver gasoline to them every 8
hours, they always waited for customers called to complain of their
circuit failures, (again) which we did every 8 hours.
Year after year, glad I'm retired, I don't have to fuss with them
any more.
