I had "almost" picked up the set that included the receiver.

Then I discovered that for AM, it only transmitted ONE Side Band.

That's when I didn't pick it up.

The transmitter wasn't quite finished being rebuilt, but I knew the 
owner very well, and the last two parts were included.

Bill, WC3K, SK, was a very good friend and mentor.

He wrote quite a few articles for ER.

A good number of them were for improving the DX-60.

One of them added 160mtrs to the DX-60.

The last picture of Bill on the front of ER was the very last one of him.

He had just obtained a home brew AM set that used TZ-40s driving TZ-40s.
