Joe,
The PR-15 is definitely a pretty set. I developed a West coast radio addiction after acquiring a Breting 14AX about 10 years ago and since then I have added several additional Breting, Patterson, and Sargent receivers along with a couple of Pierson KP-81 receivers which Karl designed after leaving Patterson. There were truly some beautiful designs coming from the west during that era. It took a long time to find the matching preselector to go with my Patterson PR-10 and although they sold a lot of that model receiver I don't think many people opted for the preselector.
The stark simplicity of the Breting 12 with its "RME like" unlabeled panel and the mirror dial Breting 14 are my co-favorites of the group. My PR-15 is a close second and I love the overdone mechanical ingenuity of the Pierson KP-81 but it makes me wonder how much money Karl lost on each one he sold.
