[Boatanchors] Collins list traffic: censored ??

I think "politics" was a bad way to put my observation as I seldom if ever venturein that direction.
But, here are some examples:
(1) The moderator had solicited me several times to join his organization (for a feeof course) and I pleasantly declined not seeing any real reason to start up anotherannual fee. Since that time, its 50/50 whether my mail gets through and only seems to get through if I am offering something for cheap or for postage only; Always seems to be room for his custom shipping containers though :-) ...(2) Last week I asked the Collins list if anyone would care to venture what kind ofcost one could expect fully servicing an S Line piece that had been around the block. You know, you see the cap kits, the tube kits, the knob inlays, the ring paint, etc. etc.and so remembering typical auction site prices, it seemed like the cost was justprohibitive. Why would you spend $300 - $400 fixing up a retread that cost youthat much or more ?? YMMV but I never saw the emails nor any comments on that.(3) Not long ago I tried to track down the source & creator for those 75A4 plug infilters that KE9PQ is populating the e-net with. I found a little information but nocontact information nor any pictures of "what's in the can". Several attempts to get that discussion going went into his proverbial trash can. Never saw them and I still think there is something fishy about that product; perhaps an imported ceramic filter stuffed into the can the way caps are sometimes done.
Anyway, I don't see any of this as anything other than good conversation about ourhobby and what we do.
Thanks to all who have contacted me regarding this. I'll leave the issue alone now.
