[Boatanchors] Question from an admitted 'Newbie'

I dragged a TS-830S with me as a carryon on a trip to New Zealand, 
Australia and Tahiti in 1983. Though, not an SX-28, it's pretty heavy 
and I would consider it a boatanchor. It does have a tube driver and 
tube finals.
