You missed my point entirely on this. The buyer pays you $45 for
shipping of your item. However, both eBay and PayPal collect a fee on
this part of the transaction as well as the fees on the sale price.
They consider the shipping charge to be part of the sale price.
Therefore of your $45 charge, $4.50 goes to eBay and $1.35 goes to
PayPal and you receive $39.15. But the freight carrier is going to
charge you $45. You loose $5.85. in addition to the $13 fees for the item.
100 x 10% + 100 x 3% = $13 Selling Fee
45 x 10% + 45 x 3% = $ 5.85 Shipping Charge Fee
Total Fees $18.85
Amount you actually receive in your PayPal account $145 - $18.85 = $126.15
Shipper's charge $45
What actually goes in you pocket from a $100 sale $126.15 - $45 = $81.15
