Dave,

Go the single wire feed route. Use a match box if you want.

I have a single 14AWG solid 150ft spool that I string up for use on my
Kenwood R-2000 and the HRO-50-T1.

Does a great job!

I hear more than I want! I use the RF gain or the R-2000's attenuator
as needed.

It really isn't mounted in a high manner, just over the shed roof,
across the span to the second story deck roof, and run this way and that
way.

Most of the time I never get the entire spool payed [sic] out. I still
can hear way over reasonable expectations.

I did a full tweak and alignment of the R-2000. It is now extremely
sensitive!

YMMV! All $0.02 worth!

Bob
