I'll never forget the time I went to the Orange, Texas Hamfest.  There was a guy selling a CW paddle there.  He had a price tag of $30 on it which was reasonable.  (This was maybe a dozen years ago.)  I looked at the owner and said would you take $25 for it?  After I said that he went Ballistic!  He started ranting and raving walking in circles and then handed the paddle to me and said, "Here take it and keep it.  It's yours FREE.  If you don't have $30, you need it worse then me!"  He then continued to rant and rave.  I was so taken back by all this as he appeared to be ready for a heart attack.  I pulled out my wallet and gave him $35 and walked away with the paddle! (Now that was some real negotiating on his part.)
