Nick, spoken as a gentleman.
You will always have my highest admiration for all that you do for the
hobby.
As for pricing, you cannot imagine the phone calls and email that I receive
asking me to express my untethered opinion on the prices of certain Collins
equipment. I do so somewhat reluctantly and with a caveat that "let the
buyer beware."
However, with that said, the estimating what a piece of radio equipment is
"worth" really depends on how much one is willing to pay.
Yes, condition and rarity of the piece certainly play into the "equation."
Oh, well, let's let not turn into a thread. Since I started it, please let
me end it by saying "thanks" to Nick and others who are trying to keep our
hobby alive - you know who you are, take a bow.
By the way, I will still offer my unprofessional advice as long as you
recognize that it is YOU who ultimately has to make the decision whether to
buy or pass!

In recent years I scour the flea market to look for Navy radio gear, my
current passion. That is pretty specialized and very little shows up but you
never know.
However I used to collect/restore/operate 1950's ham gear (over 400 pieces
of Heathkit, Knight, National, Halli, etc., all gone to new homes now), so I
still find it interesting as do most all of my boatanchor buddies. But since
I am not buying/selling it any more I don't pay much attention to prices.
I am not a reporter. I shoot quick cellphone photos as I am scanning tables
and I do try to include price tags if visible. What you get is what you get.
And it is worth every penny you paid for it.
Other attendees can fill in the blanks with things they saw.
Sure it would be nice if someone compiled the prices of all the gear. Go for
it Dave.....
That said, the prices that I noticed seemed pretty reasonable and "trading
was brisk". I didn't get photos of the 75A-3 and 32V-2 I brought for a
friend because they sold within a few seconds after I put them on the table
($200 and $400).
Cheers,
Nick K4NYW
