[Boatanchors] [National] HRO60 and coils

I have collected several HRO-60s (T & R) which need to find new homes. I'm now too old to ever "restore" them all.

I have learned that shipping is not only expensive but hazardous. Therefore, they would have to go up as pick up only.

What is a reasonable price for an HRO-60 with standard coils? How about prices for the somewhat to very rare coilsets and dial strips?

Ulrich,
There are many HRO 60s in the used market, and many collectors already have one. There are also many collectors and users looking for coil sets. From your location, shipping would be higher than the value of the complete system. As far as keeping coils with the original receiver, by now circuit values have drifted, and an actual user must re align the coils, even if they shipped from National aligned to their receiver.
>From the condition you mentioned, I will commit blasphemy, and say that you are the owner, sell the coils separately and fund the purchase of a more rare collectible piece. I would offer parts of the HRO 60 receiver, the transformers, audio and power are often sought after. I would enjoy hearing that you have been able to fund and restore something that we don't often see.
Thanks for having the concern to ask fellow collectors.
73,

Barry
