[Boatanchors] off topic - 3/16 female spade connectors

True in theory but there is a thermo switch (circuit interrupter) in series
with the a/c line that burned off one connector. The male lug on the thermo
switch that burned was loose where it is riveted into the thermo switch.
That might be why it failed or it might have gotten loose from overheating.
My assumption is that the thermo switch might have been a marginal one from
the gitgo and since the manufacturer used hard metal spade connectors then
they did that for a reason therefore I want to get as close to original as
possible. Again, I appreciate all comments but since this is off topic from
boatanchors any further comments, if any, should be directed to me rather
than the whole group.

it's a microwave oven. the only thing getting hot will be the loosely
bound material in the cavity (food/beverage) and maybe the magnetron.
