Hi Al,
 
The Hallicrafters SR-2000 used 8122s also.  Only certain tubes made by  
Burle would work worth their salt in that rig.  I have 4 of them but you  are 
gight, the tubes are out of sight price wise and the correct Burles are hard  
to find at any price.  They make great shelf queens, though.

don't feed those people, leave it to the  "sliders".  Have you priced 
the 8122's lately?  (I have an  SR-2000. Those 2 may be the only ham gear 
that used  them.)
