[Boatanchors] Veterans Day

I stand with Rodger - there is nothing dishonorable about service and sacrifice for our country.
What's dishonorable are the succession of politicians who have spilled our blood and our countries fortune without legal or moral cause. We have spent the decades since VJ Day propping up
Puppets and dictators. We have made invading every Americans privacy routine .
Sadly the foreign policy they have foist upon us has done nothing to preserve and build upon the great allied victory of world war 2. America is weaker than ever in spite of having the greatest military in the world . Academically our kids aren't very competitive against their peers in other countries, we don't manufacture much of anything here anymore.
Sadly we never took President Eisenhower's warnings about the military industrial complex to heart.
And yes we need to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives for their country, my family members included.
As the great Edward R. Murrow once said, "a nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves"

God Bless America

I also must say, Mr. Downs, that just because I consider myself to be a Liberal in my political views, that my wrist is every bit as stiff as yours.
