It's following the usual price bell-curve for most collectables.
As time goes on, the number of us joining "the choir invisible"
each year will accelerate, the amount of pieces on the market
will increase and prices will fall.  Take a look at 1930s-1940s
vintage car prices.  1950s and 60s cars are on the same curve,
but have more slope to go.
It's just the nature of things.
