Pete,
I pointed toward you as one that may be able to answer.
I have known that you are one of the SDR owners and users.
I do understand the trouble shooting and repair abilities.
The experience of the individual is more important than anything else.
The Oscope, logic probes, and the like make locating issues much easier.
The electronic basics apply no matter the type of construction.
The components are simply smaller.
