Hello everybody, I am with a group who have a working exhibit for the USS Indianapolis and wondered if anyone has replaced the
transformer on the Panoramic unit. The PCA-2 Type T200 was made by Pamoramic and the SP-44 was brought out by Hallicrafters.
Both have the same transformer and seem to have the same problem. They get hot and also have HV shorts. The original problem is
the size to place the replacement. 3" 1/2 x2" 1/2 with approx. 3" high voltage is 325-0-325 around 70 ma. two 6 volt altho you may be able to use
a seperate 6.3v .6amp the original shows 6.3 v 4 amp. and 6.3 v..6amp.
I have been looking over many postings but none say what they have come up with.
Let me know if you have any hint.
