[Boatanchors] Mars Thunderbird Mobile (Schematic wanted )

Friday & Saturday, I attended the Claremore, OK. hamfest, and picked me
up one of these little transmitters,(Mars Thunderbird Mobile, ( 80/40
meters ), which is later going to be installed in my 1959 Ford that I am
restoring/building.

The insides look factory brand new on the radio , but the front panel is
going to need some moderate or a little more than moderate restoration.
Also any information on "off the shelf", if available, spray paint of
the correct colors, for the Mars, would also be very much appreciated.

I haven't located a schematic for it, so I can not test the rig, and
also decide on a mobile power supply for it.

Also this was a little before the time I could drive, since I was
licensed in 1965 at age 12.

What converter or receiver would have been paired with this ? I am
thinking it was likely paired with a converter, since it doesn't run CW.

I am still looking for an Elmac A54 cheap, basket case , type , to use
in my planned compact home station. Trying to get things not so heavy or
so large. Most of my operation is CW and QRP anyway , but I will still
have both a home and mobile AM station when I am done.

Thanks in advance.

Best 73,

Charlie, W5COV
