[Boatanchors] sx-101 clips suggestion

List,

I give the following suggestion.

Go to a hobby shop IF there is one within a reasonable distance.

They carry brass stock in many different shapes and sizes.

So *if* it is in this distance, look for the square/rectangular brass
stock. Select the thickness that you can work with, and form with what
you have available.

Forming with a hammer in a vise and/or other stout item available, this
"will" make the brass become harder, and perhaps brittle.

Solution: Let it sit in the oven on the warm setting. The one we have
has this setting. I use the 145Deg F. setting.

Time can be around 45 minutes. This is not so much time/temperature
particular. This is simply taking to a temp, achieving the items
reaching the thermal level, then simply removing them and let them cool.

Do NOT place them in water as they come out! This is an erroneous
method! It is only done for particular reasons and it is done in a very
controlled manner.

This is not the method being described.

The result is a reduction in the stiffness, and/or any brittleness
creating by what is called "work hardening" of the material

Regards,
Robert "Bob" Bethman
