Morning, Don.
I doubt it.  The context is too "real life" current
and training materials would have been prepared beforehand.
In one log entry, the Commodore calls the entire convoy
onto the TBY intercom and chews them out because he heard
someone cussing a blue streak on the net.
You wouldn't see that in training materials.
They wouldn't contain announcements like the invasion of France
because those dates and times were most certainly "Secret"
before the actual landings.

Moreover- these are not military logs.
They are commercial Merchant Marine logs.
Merchant Marine worked under a different set of rules.
Also- in the later log entries, information previously sent
"in the clear" is coded, much to my frustration.

Last month, a couple of people said they knew of
Comm officers still living to whome they would give
the logs.  I hope they follow-through.
