[Boatanchors] D-104 Replacement Element

I have one of the last replacement cartridges that Astatic sold in my D-104.  I have also replaced the bad cartridge in D-104 microphones for others with the 25LM022 and use one of those cartridges in the microphone that is mounted, on a goose neck, on my main operating console.

The reports that I get with that microphone, when used on my Collins 32S-1 and 32S-3, on my Heath SB-110A and SB-401, and on my Eldico S-Line "clone", are excellent and definitely better than with my D-104.

One thing when replacing the cartridge in the D-104 with the Kobitone element is to make a "filler" out of styrofoam sheet with a hole in the middle for the Kobitone element.  There have been those who used other things to mount the smaller cartridge in their D-104 who have been disappointed in the audio quality.  Then, when the same cartridge is mounted using styrofoam, the audio reports get much better.
