[Boatanchors] laugh of the day!

Don't be too quick to throttle the "turd" RX. I used one (actually the WR600, which was an S120 with a wood-grain finish cover) back in the 60's from Gitmo, KG4DF. Ran 40 thru 10, AM and CW. Several thousand QSOs over about 7 months when I had time to operate, mostly on 15 and 10 and with very basic and low antennas. Is it a great RX? No! But it worked for me, and it's a good way to improve ones operating skills instead of depending on the RX to do the work. I'd buy one for $33 (not $333!) for nostalgia sake.
