Bob,
Visit Ramsey electronics on line and order your self an ion wind kit.
Six copper pipe couplers and a high voltage module.
Remember to order the power supply .
Put those manuals back into a sealed plastic bag and put that outside until your
ion kit arrives and is assembled.
Put the ion generator and manuals in a card board box and tape it up for a week for starts.
It may take some time for the ions to neutralize the smoke smell.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Stinky Manuals
I recently acquired a series of manuals for some of my SWL rigs. Got them at a
good price, etc. but when I opened the package, I was nearly knocked back by the
super strong cigarette smoke odor. I and my XYL are very allergic to same. Does
anyone have any suggestions about how to deal with this situation? Having
manuals you can't bear to use are, well, useless.
73 to all,
Bob AG5X
