I started with nothing BUT hollow state.

Went through a "Collins" period.

Point for point?

Darn hard to do.  I do know I spent more time keeping the Collins 
station working over any other hollow state station.

I do currently have one "rice box", and I don't care at all for DSP.  I 
never turn compression on, and never use the processing that is built in.

I ran a DBX-100 (Audio Compression) for a very short period to keep the 
audio level up.  Decided it wasn't worth it.
