Hi Dave,

I *always* send tubes via USPS. *Always*. The tubes I send are small 
receiving tubes up to 6146 and 1625 transmitting types. I protect them 
as appropriate and send them by first class mail and *NO* problems. As 
for my location - FedEX and UPS hand off off to the USPS before they 
ever have to drive way out here so I simply cut out the middle-man - 
UPS/FedEX. When I did use those other guys FedEX never lost or damaged 
anything for me and UPS only ever crushed one new xtal from Sentry Mfg - 
which they replaced.
