[Boatanchors] WRL power supply

Brian,
I'm thinking it could be for the GT550 or one of the Galaxy series rigs. I use to own the GT550 and it had the separate cable for the speaker if I remember correctly. The power supply was solid state and was enclosed in a case with the speaker.

Hope this helps...

I have power supply by WRL for which I'd like to obtain some information. It's got a single transformer.  A solid state voltage doubler off the HV winding creates 750vdc.  The 375vdc is derived with a diode at the junction of the doubling caps and a half wave rectifier provides -135vdc.   There is a 12.6vac winding as well.

There is a stick-on shiny WRL label which is marked 6102HL311 with a vibrating type engraving machine.  There are a few unused holes in the chassis which are factory.  One is the size of an electrolytic can and the three are much smaller.

There is an accessory cable with a 12 pin female Cinch-Jones plug and the purple wire in the cable is connected only to a one side of a chunk of dual speaker wire that's dangling in the air?  I suspect this purple wire is supposed to go the 12.6vac winding as it is disconnected so there's no 12.6vac filament supply in the cable.  The input is 110vac and the power is controlled by jumpering two wires in the accessory cable.

Do you know what radio this might go with?  Do you have documentation concerning it?  If it's worth anything I'll sell it.  If not, I might modify it to power a Johnson Mobile.

Thanks, Brian
