You would have a much better chance of obtaining advertising on the original E. F. Johnson Ranger transmitter by acquiring ARRL Amateur Radio Operator's Handbooks. The original Ranger is featured in the 1955 Handbook all the way through (including) the 1961 Handbook. I don't have a 1954 Handbook or a 1962 Handbook so I cannot say if the original Ranger is in either one of those. However, there is no Johnson section in the 1963 Handbook.

I have a copy of an EF Johnson catalog from 1961 which has the Ranger II
transmitter listed. Does anyone have a copy of an earlier catalog which
still lists the original Ranger ("Ranger I")?
I'm finishing up the rebuild of an original Ranger which I rescued from
the world of 27 MHz, and I'd like to have a catalog which shows it listed.
Thanks!
