Here is a great tip from Bob, WA0VRC who is a member of the CRA.
He wanted me to pass this on.
Bob speaking:
“I went to his local ACE Hardware for a piece of replacement cable for his power supply.
I got that ACE 6' grey replacement power cord( 16-3). The new sheathing on it is more of a vinyl than rubber so it almost seemed like it would be too large or not pliable enough to pinch in the strain relief. Well I came home from work at noon for lunch and put the cord in the strain relief and pinched it in there with a vice grip...pinched it in pretty hard, and then went back to work. Came home at 5pm and tried inserting it into the hole in the p/s and it slipped right in. But I had to hold it there for a maybe 30 seconds until the vinyl kind of sprung back into it's original form. This a.m. it's in there good and tight and it's not going anywhere!!
That's my story.
No trimming or enlarging that hole int he chassis in any manner.!!”
