The half-round "4 in 1" rasp has long occupied a valued spot in my
non-precision tool category:

The coarse side is good for quick removal of wood and soft materials and
the flat and curved files work fine on light steel and aluminum. Easier
to control for something like the tube-socket job than the round aka
"rat-tail" file (which is super handy too).
Even if you don't find that large plumbers reamer, for about the same
price as above you can get a hand reamer that goes from 1/8" to 1/2" and
has a screwdriver type handle that is much easier to use than the old
T-Handle types. Sears made them in the same style as their
nut-drivers, and I can't do a project without reaching for one of them
to enlarge a hole to the right size.
