[Boatanchors] Richmond VA hamfest photos

The AR-88s (2 for $50) were mine, and I was just happy to be rid of them!  Both were more or less complete, but pretty rough.  One was an AR-88LF and the other I believe was a CR-88 which I had bought because it had a cabinet.  I stole the cabinet to complete my restored AR-88.

All in all a great hamfest.  I sold a NC-173, a NC-183D, the AR-88s, and a pile of test equipment.  My Suburban was a thousand pounds lighter on the way home.

$25 for an AR88 is an extremely low price if you ask me.  What kind of
shape were they in?  When working properly it is a fabulous receiver.
I have a CR88 and enjoy it immensely.   From what I recall, with the
AR88 you don't get the front panel xtal filter phase shift control or
the CL meter.  Otherwise, a beautiful buzzardly looking set.
