[Boatanchors] Regenerative IF

Hi Bill,

Some of those have a reduced or no bypass cap on the screen. Some have
reduced or no bypass cap on the cathode. Is the regen control in the
cathode or screen circuit? Look there. It's been a while - I had a Star
Roamer that used that regenerative IF amp oscillating in place of a real
BFO. They're all kinda "funny".

It has a regenerative IF stage and if you accidentally run up the regen control too far it breaks into oscillation and won’t come out for several minutes. The whole receiver is “paralyzed”-there is no reception at all; very slowly it begins to recover, a process which takes another few minutes.
