[Boatanchors] A short Vent

We are all dealing with idiots or fools. They and their new gee whiz
bang radios, and no knowledge of what they have or how to use them.

There will never be *peace* between the *new folks* that have gotten
their licenses in this new system versus those of us that did it the
"old way".

The very basics of Amateur Radio Operation just aren't learned now.

They have no idea of the different modes as we learned them, no idea of
zero beat, no idea of calibration against WWV.

Therefore, we will unfortunately deal with the idiocy until all of us
that did it the "old way", until we are all Silent Keys.

I don't want to be around once this occurs. Anarchy will rule the
bands. It will be a total zoo!

I look at my family line on both sides, and see that I will most likely
be around for about 20 years more. I, unfortunately, will live through
this Anarchy. Mom is still kicking at 83. Being a youngster of 64 just
means I'll be around for quite a bit more.

Such is life as it is.

Regards,
Bob - N0DGN
