Thanks for that recommendation. I can also recommend the "roots of
radio" column in that magazine.
Somewhat related to that, ARRL sent me a $10 discount coupon for my
birthday, and I decided it was about time for a new ARRL Handbook.
And when it came I decided to read it, rather than laying it aside
until I need to look up something. Well this ain't your grandfather's
Handbook! There's the usual material on resistance and DC circuits
and then capacitance and inductance and AC circuits. But then they
introduce complex frequency and the s-plane. That wasn't covered
back when I was in steam-engine college, so I have a lot to learn.
