Had one of these for a wjhile I bought with a DX-60 years ago.  It had a 
number of good features, but had some also rotten engineering.  Crystal
filter "worked" but could have done better.  Stability was fair after 30 
minute warmup.  The BIG problem was, it was DEAF on 20/15/10 meters.
Totally useless really.  Sensitivity "maybe" 5-10 microvolts on those 
bands at best.  I t was cute and matched the DX-60 but not a very nice 
receiver on high bands.  I have seen 3 different modification attempts 
at these, but they are still insensitive afterwards.

One of Heathkit's failures in my memory.

Sorry for the glum news.  I tried verything I knew and read to improve 
it and nothing seemed to really help it bigtime.
