I have a collection of vintage metal detectors. Lots use two 9V batteries, so I buy a lot. Some recent purchases have a small rubber cap on the + terminal.
I wonder how long before someone sues a battery company for making 'dangerous' products?
Remember McDonald's coffee????

Heard about a guy who popped a battery into one of his work coat
pockets which was also full of nails. Couldn't understand why it went
dead.....

I'll have my Heath Marauder and Collins 51J-4 along with my newly-rebuilt Heath
Warrior amp on ECARS / 7255 all day today, if anyone reading this cares to give
me a call for a quick test.
Thanks...

Hi Gary,
I don't think that connector is used on anything else. And you'd like
2 of them? I'd be happy to have one for my HX-500, I've been on the
lookout for one for 6-8 yrs. If you find a source, there are several
HX-500 owners out there who would like one.

I may have one or two of these things in my junk pile. I asked for a
photo of the socket. nobody has been forthcoming. I guess the interest isn't
that great. I am not going to sort through until I know what I am ooking for.
Text doesn't do it.

Hi John,
Here's a pic of it, but it probably won't go thru the reflectors.
If anyone else would like one, send me a private email.
