Respectfully, that's not true.
A couple of years ago I encountered a qth.net mailing list that had been
modified to do so. Inspired by that, I modified the mailing list
administration Options Section on a couple of qth.net lists that I
administer, for example: Military Radio Collectors Association
<mrca at mailman.qth.net> (some of you are subscribers) I allow HTML posts
and attachment of harmless file types. Not a lot of subscribers use the
capability, but it's really fun when they do.
In these days of almost free bandwidth, it doesn't hurt anybody. I've
had no complaints from anyone.
Contact me off list and I'll reconstruct the details.
